Description
When I started coiling with marine debris, I couldn’t find suitable tapestry needles anywhere that were designed for use with thicker cord. So, my partner and I worked together to perfect a set that was perfectly tailored to my needs. I then wanted to make these needles available to others, so here they are. There’s something really elemental about working with handmade and slow-crafted tools.
Made of steel with a gloss (anti rust) finish, they’re flat and have a eye hole measuring approximately 7.5mm by 4.5mm. The needle shaft’s width is 3.5mm and they’re 2.5mm thick with a tapered end (tapered in width and thickness).
Because I’m forever losing my needles, we designed these with a colour-customizable desktop metal stand (made with scrap metal from Loren’s workshop).
Each set of tapestry needles comes with three needles (5 inches, 4 inches, and 3 inches long respectively) and one stand in a powder coating of your choice.
